Its primary purpose is to provide a convenient and programmable interface for emergency and non-emergency alerting, as well as enhancing customer service.

Firstly, it can multicast an alert or announcement, ensuring that the message reaches multiple recipients simultaneously. Alternatively, it can initiate a SIP call to a designated extension, where a discreet notification will be played upon answering the call. Lastly, the 1203 can make a SIP call to a configured extension, enabling hands-free two-way communication, such as utilising the Algo IP speaker microphone.
